This covers the RaceTrak sign-in used at my.racetrak.us —
the account a race director, medical command lead, or anyone else who signed up in the
portal uses to get in. If you are a runner who took part in a race, or a volunteer who was
handed a tablet at an aid station, you do not have one of these — see
what to do instead below.
If you can sign in
1. Open your account page
Sign in at my.racetrak.us and open Account, from the menu in the top corner.
2. Delete my account
Under "Closing your account", press Delete my account, then type your email address to confirm. This deletes it immediately — there is no waiting period and no second email to click.
If you cannot sign in
Write to privacy@racetrak.us from the email address
the account uses (or naming it, if you no longer have access to that inbox) with the subject
Delete my account. We verify the request and delete the account by hand,
normally within a few business days.
What this deletes
Your email address and password, or your Google sign-in link.
Your access to every race you belong to — as a director, medical command, or any other role.
Nothing else reaches this system through your account. See the privacy policy for what RaceTrak holds in general.
What this does not delete, and why
Records of races you have already worked are not deleted with your account. This is
deliberate, not an oversight, and it is worth explaining rather than leaving as a surprise:
Timing events already recorded keep the name that was on the account when they
were logged — an arrival, a departure, a radio call. RaceTrak's event log cannot be
edited or deleted once written, by anyone, including us: that is what makes it a record
other people can trust rather than a document somebody could quietly rewrite. Deleting
your account removes your ability to sign in and see that data again; it does not remove
the data, the same way a race's official results keep every finisher's name and time after
the season ends, whether or not the timer who recorded them still works there.
Purchase history is kept for accounting. A record of race credits bought
and spent is retained after account deletion, the same as any receipt, in case a refund or
a billing dispute needs it later.
If you are the only director of a race, deleting your account leaves that
race with nobody able to manage it — add a co-director first if you can. If it is too late for
that, write to support@racetrak.us and we can restore
access to a race whose only director's account was deleted.
If you are a runner or a volunteer, not an account holder
RaceTrak does not create an account for runners, and aid-station volunteers pair a tablet
with a code rather than signing in personally. If you want to know what is held about you,
have it corrected, or have it removed, the race's organizer decides that — see
Requests about your information in the
privacy policy for how to reach them, or write to
privacy@racetrak.us if you cannot.
